Configuring the ODBC driver / Adding more DSNs

This article assumes you've already installed the SQream ODBC driver. If you haven't, see Installing the SQream ODBC Driver article first. 

Accessing the ODBC Data Sources window

Open up the Windows menu by clicking the Windows button on your keyboard, and type "ODBC". Then, pick ODBC Data Sources matching your system (usually 64-bit)

Editing an existing DSN

  1. Locate the correct DSN. The installer automatically added a DSN called sqream64. In order to edit an existing DSN, click Configure...


  2. Click Configure and enter the correct server details in the DSN editing screen, as given to you.

  3. Save the connection settings by clicking Done and then OK. You can now test the ODBC installation with any tool that supports ODBC.

Adding a new DSN

  1. From the User DSN tab, Click the Add button

  2. Select the SQreamDriver64 driver

  3. Fill in the relevant details, pertaining to your instance of SQream DB

  4. Save the connection settings by clicking Done and then OK. You can now test the ODBC installation with any tool that supports ODBC.
