How to Create Port Tunneling Using Putty

This documents explains how to create tunnel using putty

  1. Download and install PuTTY. If you can't install files on your system, be sure to download the portable version
  2. Open putty and go to Connection > SSH > TunnelsUnder Add new forwarded port: enter the following information
    • Source port: <port on local machine>
    • Destination: <hostname of remote machine>:<port on remote machine>

  3. Click Add                                                                                               t2
  4. After setting up the port tunnel, select Session from the category list on the left side.
    Enter login details in the Host Name (or IP Address) field and click the Open button  t3
