Known issue for SQream V2.7 to V2.13: Missing link to shared object file libboost_system.so.1.61.0 and libboost_regex.so.1.61.0

This is a known issue for SQream V2.7 to V2.11. Problem is resolved with V2.12.

Run ClientCmd

Error message: error while loading shared libraries: libboost_system.so.1.61.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Run SqreamStorage to create a new SQream storage

Error message: error while loading shared libraries: libboost_regex.so.1.61.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Note that crontab running scripts does not read this value and calls to ClientCmd would fail.

Solution:

The solution it to add the SQream lib path to the LD_LIBRARY_PATH:

  • Option 1: Add the lib path temporarily to the Terminal window

For example:

export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/home/sqream/sqream/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH
  • Option 2: Add the lib path permanently to the machine
sudo vim /etc/profile.d/sqream.sh

It might be that the file does not yet exist.
Insert the following lines ( make sure the path is correct!).
For example:

export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/home/sqream/sqream/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH

Save the file, logout, login again.
